Prerequisites and Requirements
MyHouse is
also a very effective marketing tool.
The program is customized with your picture and contact
information. Your picture and your
contact information are displayed every time the program is run. It can be easily and FREELY copied as many
times as you like. You can email the
program or post it on your web site as a FREE download.
MyHouse is
also a great home inventory program that can track virtually any item in
categories and locations that you specify.
In addition to item category and location you can keep track of purchase
and warranty information. A report
module is available for printing reports on your PC.

This
software product requires a PalmOS® version of 3.5 or better. Please ensure that this requirement is met
before attempting to install this software.
If you are uncertain which version of the PalmOS® you are using, please
refer to your PDA documentation or visit our software support forum.

files on your PDA you may want to refer to your PDA documentation for detailed
instructions. To install MyHouse on
your PDA follow the steps below.

Information and Discussion. 1.
Add the MyHouseInstaller.prc to your Palmâ Desktop Install Tool 2.
Run HotSyncâ to install the software on your PDA. 3.
Tap the MyHouse Install icon on your PDA. The installation is automatic. Back to Table of Contents Below are a few tips and tricks for
using the MyHouse program more effectively and efficiently. 1. Categories – Use the Categories button on the Welcome
screen to edit inventory categories. A
default set of categories is provided. 2. Locations - Use the Locations button on the Welcome screen
to edit inventory locations. A default
set of locations is provided. 3. Active Field Labels – Any field ending in “*” is
active. Click on the field label (not
the field itself) to active the related function. 4. Application Beaming – Use the Beam button on the Provided
By screen to beam the MyHouse application and support files to another
user. The MyHouse application may be
freely shared with others. 5. Record Beaming – Use the Beam button on the Item screen to
send the current record to another user running the MyHouse application. If you have multiple devices this is a quick
and easy way to share data. Back to Table of Contents MyHouse allows reports to be printed
on your PC using the backup copy of your MyHouse database located in your
Hotsync® backup directory. This
capability is only available in the full version (not the demo version) of the
product. To use the MyHouse reporting
facility: 1. Copy the compiled report(s) (MyHouseReports.tbc)
distributed with this product into the Hotsync® backup directory on your
PC. This directory can vary by
operating system and Palm Desktopâ version. The
directory is usually call Backup and located under the Palm directory on your
harddrive (i.e. C:\Palm\Backup) 2. Download and install the current version of the TBReports©
program from http://www.sandsusa.com/TBReports/ . The TBReports©
program is FREE if you are running compiled report (ending in .tbc). Make sure you read the documentation
provided with TBReports©. 3. Start the TBReports© program and open the compiled report
that you copied into the Hotsync® backup directory. Please note that reports are run on the
backup of the MyHouse database on your PC.
Make sure you Hotsync® your PDA before running a report to ensure the
backup on your PC has the most current data from your PDA. If you are having trouble locating
your Hotsync® backup directory please consult your PDA documentation. If you have questions or need assistance
