Millbrook Real Estate Information One of the fastest growing communities in the “Yellowhammer State” of Alabama, the City of Millbrook is indeed on the rise. Located in Elmore County (although some of the city spills over into Autauga County), the population of Millbrook currently stands at approximately 12,000 people. Incredibly, the population has increased by an incredible 70% since 1900 thanks to plenty of residential developments that offers immense value.
Millbrook was established around Mill Creek near Gravel Pit Lake, and is part of the Greater Montgomery Metropolitan Area. The state capitol of Montgomery is just a short 10-mile distance south from Millbrook along Interstate Highway 65. Millbrook was incorporated as a city in 1977. Before then, it was part of a tri-community area which also consisted of Robinson Springs and Coosada.
With Millbrook’s booming residential growth, the area has become a prime location for economic development, which is also helped by the city’s close proximity to Montgomery including the Montgomery International Airport. Many new businesses ranging from the retail-trade to hospitality, manufacturing to tourism has been popping out throughout the year adding increased vitality to the community.
Recreational attractions found in and around Millbrook include Robinson Springs Park, Legacy Park, the Mill Creek Sports Complex, and Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. For culture, there is Millbrook Civic Center and Millbrook's downtown park.
