Real Estate Mobile - AL
Mobile Real Estate Information

Within Alabama's rich history, it could be argued that the city of Mobile has the richest and most unique experience. Originally established in 1702 as the capital of the French colony of Louisiana, Mobile has been under the power of the French, British, and Spanish before becoming a part of America.

The third largest city in the Yellowhammer State and home to approximately 200,000 residents, Mobile continues to be one of the most unique cities in the entire country.

A city with numerous cultural influences thanks to its diverse community, Mobile has the feel of a prototypical Southern city. Located near the head of Mobile Bay, this city is home to some of the wildest and most unique celebrations in the American south.

Although many Americans associate Mardi Gras with New Orleans, Mobile is the site of the oldest Mardi Gras celebrations. Started in 1703 after French colonists had survived a yellow fever epidemic and wanted to celebrate, Mobile continues to hold elaborate and wild Mardi Gras parties. In addition, Mobile is the home of the Senior Bowl and Junior Miss Pagant.

Additionally, Mobile also is the home to a unique phenomenon known as Jubilee. Periodically, Mobile and the Eastern Shore will experience a massive upsurge of sea life from the bottom of the bay. Sea delicacies like crabs and oysters are brought to the surface making for an impromptu fishing party.
