Apache Junction, Arizona

The City of Apache Junction continues to strive for strong bonds with the community it serves. The City's Neighborhood and Community Outreach Programs are designed to provide the community with vital information concerning City services, programs, events and public information.

Since Apache Junction lies at the eastern edge of the Phoenix metro area, freeway oriented retail uses would capture the market of more rural communities to the east and south. The area has about 2,400 homes today, three golf courses and is growing by about 700 housing permits a year.

The City's Parks and Recreation Department maintains Phelps Drive north of Broadway, the City Focal Points as well as City Hall grounds. They perform park landscaping and beautification projects, maintain the community swimming pool and rodeo park/multi-event center, and the multi-trail system. The division also provides design, design review, construction and construction administration of new park facilities.
