Located in the Santa Cruz River Valley in south-central Arizona’s Pinal County, the community of Eloy is part of the legendary Sonora Desert. But if you’re worried about, do not fear. Eloy is blessed to have access to large aquifers and also benefits from the Central Arizona Project, which now provides much of Eloy’s water supplies via a canal from the Picacho Mountains. Home to an estimated population of 11,000, Eloy is situated along Interstate Highway 17 midway between Arizona’s state capitol of Phoenix and the city of Tucson. Phoenix is about 50 miles north and Tucson is about 40 miles south.
Eloy is a city on the rise. Municipal officials are vigorously pushing plans for increased industrial and commercial developments with many businesses very attracted by its strategic location between Phoenix and Tucson. Eloy has plenty of room to grow, boasting over 700 acres of industrial park space that includes facilities that can support a variety of industries.
There is plenty of recreational opportunities here in Eloy. A few miles down the I-17 will bring you to the magnificent Picacho State Park, home to the Picacho mountains.
