Marion Arkansas is a place that knows when to get down to business. In fact business is almost like a citywide obsession. In the early days of Marion, a long time a go, this frontier city was a cross roads for all kinds of travelers, and the city prospered as a result. But as westward expansion began shifting people’s focus away from the area, the city fell on some hard times. However, not too long ago the Marion Arkansas chamber of commerce picked itself up by the bootstraps and decided they were going to do everything they could to bring the city back to prominence.

They started by deciding to focus on one particular industry and work from there. By attracting one kind of industry they could focus their infrastructure and make an appealing case for businesses looking to either relocate or set up a new operation. In the case of Marion, they chose the trucking industry. After all, the city was a great crossroads at one point; why not capitalize on that tradition? Soon trucking and shipping ventures began seeing Marion as a great place to do business, and the gamble paid off. The city was once again off an running.

To this day the city is still off and running. With a downtown core that is keeping it real, and some of the best shops and restaurants in the area. There is also a great real estate market here that people are taking advantage of on a daily basis.
