Moreno Valley is a quiet town formed from three valley communities back in 1984. Though the city as an incorporation is quite young, people have been living here for centuries. The city has a total population of about 140,000 people.

Due to low cost of living, many middle-class African-American familes have moved here to flee the crime and cost of living in South central LA.
