With a name like Oxnard, you’d better hope that there is some livestock involved in the community somewhere. Actually, the cities name has nothing to do with oxes. The city was founded by Henry T. Oxnard.

Have no fear, this interesting city has more than its fair share of gorgeous farmland, even as other communities pave and develop their land, Oxnard have stayed true to the agricultural tradition that made the country so great.

Of course, this adherence to the old traditions makes buying and selling real estate in the city a very unique experience. Most of city has remained zoned for farming purposes. While this doesn’t necessarily means it all used for farming, but it definitely means that you won’t find strip malls, and huge sprawling housing developments.

Sure there is some development, but it is very cautious and very aware of the traditions of the community. This is actually a great place to buy land. A sure-fire investment really.
