Commerce City is a city located in Adams County, Colorado, just eight miles north from downtown Denver, 25 miles from the Denver Technology Center and adjacent to Denver International Airport. The city has an estimated population of 23,000 people.

Commerce City is uniquely positioned for business success. Prime areas for commercial development exist in the Northern Range and City Center along the Highway 2. The Northern Range area of the city provides 43 square miles of growth corridors for business and residential development.

Perhaps Commerce City is well known as a gateway to some of Colorado's greatest natural resources including the Rocky Mountain National Wildlife Refuge, Barr Lake State Park, the Prairie Gateway area, and numerous trails, open spaces and wildlife preserves. Commerce City recently acquired the 917-acre Prairie Gateway from the Federal Government. The property is one of the largest urban nature preserves in the country, with a variety of wildlife, from large mouth bass to bald eagles.
