Fort Morgan, Colorado

Fort Morgan is located approximately 80 miles northeast of Denver, Colorado. It is the county seat for Morgan county, has an elevation of 4330 feet and a population of 10, 243. The town is one of quiet tree-lined streets, beautiful homes and large lush yards.

The neighborhood atmosphere means a very low crime rate, though our town is well protected by a local police force of 20 officers and eight support staff. Here you will also find one of the best volunteer fire departments in the state. The 32 members are "on-call" 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for emergencies ranging from water-related accidents to vehicle accidents to heart attacks.

Fort Morgan enjoys a mild, sunny, semi-arid climate. Sheltered from long stretches of extremely cold and snowy winter weather, Fort Morgan is rarely hampered by major blizzards. Fort Morgan has 46 churches representing 28 denominations to serve our spiritual needs as well. The main economy is agriculture and people grow sugar beets, corn, potatoes, onions, wheat, as well as raise beef and dairy cattle.
