Bristol, Connecticut

The beautiful city of Bristol, located in west central Connecticut was first incorporated in 1785 as the New Cambridge society of the Farmington Congressional Church. Today the city, with the 11th largest population in the state, continues to grow as a proud industrial center for the production of brass, ball bearings, and related machinery and equipment.

Even though it sounds as if this is an industrial-looking city it is not! The city of Bristol has a wide range of recreational and leisure opportunities that were developed in an effort to enhance the quality of life for all Bristol residents and promote positive physical, social and emotional experiences.

Currently the City of Bristol is embarking on an exciting downtown project that is more than just revitalization – it is referred to as a community renewal. This major economic and community development project will include a 72,000 square foot Field House for hosting sporting events, entertainment functions, concerts, circuses, or general attractions such as home and boat shows.
