Auburndale, Florida

The population of Auburndale is just over 11,000. Auburndale was designated as a “Florida Main Street” in 1992. Established by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, this program has a dual purpose — to preserve historical commercial architecture and to stimulate economic revitalization in the downtown district.

At first glance, Auburndale appears to be a quiet city with “hometown quality.” A closer look reveals a firmly established, steadily growing community. Teamwork abounds in every aspect-business and industry, education, sports and recreation - the vital element is the spirit of the community, and the community spirit is one of Auburndale’s main attractions.

Ideally located in Central Florida, situated 50 miles southwest of Orlando, and 45 miles northeast of Tampa, Auburndale provides ready access to a wide range of artistic and cultural resources. Auburndale’s neighbor to the east is Winter Haven, the home of Cypress Gardens. Lakeland borders Auburndale 10 miles to the west.
