The city government is currently flourishing. There are some 1600 employees and a budget of about $200 million. Services provided by the city are considered first class. Their fire department prides itself with an ISO Class 1 rating (only a handful of departments across the nation can claim this), while the police provide community oriented protection. Parks and recreation are high on the council's list of priorities as well. As you can see, the quality of life is a big deal to Hialeah residents.
