If you live in Tampa Bay and you are getting a little tired of all the hassles that come with living in a big city them all you have to do is look southwest to the city of Laurel for some refuge. Laurel is a growing community of around 8,000 people that is seeing a great influx of refugees from the Tampa Bay area. Sure that is a joke, but in many ways Laurel is the perfect place for anyone moving away from Tampa Bay.

Laurel is also a place where no one remains a stranger for very long, where people work together for the common good, and where children can find good wholesome activities and parents can find community support for cherished family values. There are manifested in all of the community activities that can be found year round in the city. From sports to block parties, you’ll find it all. Plus, the weather on the Gulf side is amazing.

And of course the real estate market here is something to marvel at. As all of these folks from the north move south in hopes of a better standard of living, developers have been building homes to accommodate them. This is good news if you are looking to buy a home, it will almost certainly appreciate in value.
