Another great thing about Miramar is that it is the simultaneous home of a thriving business community and a thriving retirement community. This has given the city an enormous tax base with which it can make most of the civic improvements the city needs.

This includes an excellent emergency response team. This was never more apparent than during the spate of destructive hurricanes that attacked the city and the states for what seemed like an entire year.

All of the residents of Miramar were given ample warning and several different options for shelter and relocation. This lead to one of the smoothest hurricane responses of any city in the state. Also, the hurricane (although it’s sad to say) shuffled the deck a little bit in terms of real estate so there are many new properties available.
