The City of North Lauderdale incorporated in 1963, encompasses an area of five square miles located just south of Coral Springs Florida with a population of 41,000. The City is a full service community offering County police service and Fire/Rescue protection, Public Works, Water and Sewer Utilities, Community Development, Code Enforcement and outstanding Parks and Recreation services.

North Lauderdale's City Commission/Manager form of government consists of five Commissioners elected from independent districts, each serving a four-year term. The City Commission appoints the City Manager. The City of North Lauderdale offers excellent schools and proudly boasts the nation's first municipal Charter High School. The City also provides extensive recreation facilities, prominent businesses (including TAG, one of Florida's prominent high tech service companies). The City also has a variety of shopping and dining.

North Lauderdale's crime rate is one of the lowest in the state and our award winning fire rescue department provides rapid response during times of need. Our Parks and Recreation facilities are beautifully maintained and well staffed.
