A ‘new city’ in terms of its age, the city of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida was the brain child of John D. MacArthur, a multimillionaire insurance magnate and landowner. MacArthur felt that there was not adequate provision in the County for a growth in the population and so to overcome this he commissioned the building of up to 50,000 new homes. With a vision of providing a place where people could raise a family, MacArthur controlled the development of the city, encouraging it to flourish and evolve into the city it is today: one that the residents are proud to call home.
The city is a hotbed of activity, with employment in many vocations that include the scientific and management industries. A growth in the population has also led to new construction projects and there is much activity in the property market, where the choices include condominiums, town houses, waterfront properties and family homes.
Close transportation links connect the city with its neighbours and, whilst there are many shops, restaurants and other recreational facilities in the city, it is easy to reach the larger city of West Palm Beach and also the international airport.
