Nestled at the southern end of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northwest Georgia lies Cherokee County, which covers all land northwest of the Chattahoochee River and Lake Allatoona to the west. Cherokee County is now becoming part of suburban Atlanta, and is considered part of the Atlanta metro area. The rapidly increasing population of the county currently stands at approximately 170,000 people. Major cities of Cherokee County includes Canton (the county seat), Woodstock, Towne Lake, and Holly Springs.

The county's explosive growth is largely attributed to its booming economy, the most prosperous it has ever been. The county has received massive investments for commercial development and is averaging 10% business growth annually.
