Part of the Greater Atlanta Metropolitan Area, Coweta County is one of the fastest growing counties in all of Georgia. The estimated population of the county is 105,000 people. Coweta County is close to the Hartsfield International Airport, a short half-hour drive southwest, and downtown Atlanta is a 40 minutes drive down the I-85.

The County Seat of Coweta County is Newnan. Other prominent communities of Coweta County are Corinth, Grantville, Haralson, Moreland, Palmetto, Senoia, Sharpsburg, and Turin.
