Forsythe county is famous for one thing, and that is the great festivals it has every year. In Forsythe there is a festival for every season and the people here take each one very seriously…but not too seriously. They see the festivals as a way to get out, work together and best of all spend time with their friends and neighbors. The festivals give people a sense of purpose that they usually don’t have in their everyday average lives. My favorite is the fall festival. It is naturally harvest themed and it has the best parade. You can walk down the street and taste different pie’s and treats from all of the best cooks in the county. Then you can stand on the curb and watch the parade go by while drinking a warm cup of cider.

It is this great attitude and devotion to doing things in a little more of an old fashioned way that makes Forsythe County such a great place to live and it is also the reason that young people choose to live there even after they have gone off to school and gone traveling. There is just a gravity here that is hard to explain. And of course another great reason to live here is the low cost of living and the great deals you’ll find on any number of houses..

In fact Forsythe County was named the best real estate investment in 2004 and the folks here are proud of that. It says a lot about a community when the value of people’s homes is dictated not by massive development or by investment, but rather by the people.
