Peachtree City Real Estate Information If there is one thing that Georgia is known for it is peaches. That’s why the city of Peach Tree Georgia has such an appropriate name. Peach Tree is one of those cities that sometimes falls under the radar because it is not trying impress anyone…it’s just naturally impressive. It has beautiful scenery, great old colonial plantation houses and a community spirit that cannot be beat.
Although Peachtree City has grown steadily in the last two decades, the reduction in the number of homes built in comparison to the number of homes allowed in new developments will result in a further reduction in the final population, which will only reach approximately 36,000 residents with the current City limits. But again this is growing slowly.
One additional village may become part of Peachtree City. Approximately 1200 acres lie on the city’s northwest boundary, and the City has indicated to the property’s various owners that, if a village comparable to the existing villages is planned, the City will consider annexing the property. The development of this area would add approximately 4,000 more residents to Peachtree City, bringing the final population to approximately 40,000.
