Settled in the 1830's and incorporated in 1852, LaSalle can be proud of over 150 years of growth and development. From its first beginnings as home to Irish immigrants drawn to the area by the Illinois-Michigan Canal, the town has evolved into a home for people of many nationalities and cultures.

Nestled within an urban forest spanning from the Illinois River to Interstate 80, the City offers unique recreational, dining and shopping opportunities for its citizens and visitors.
