Nestled in Northern Indiana, the roots of Goshen are traced back to the Amish and Mennonite heritage that settled this area in 1834. While you can still see Amish with horses and buggies on our streets, Goshen is a dynamic community offering visitors many entertaining options.

Goshen is in the center of Amish Country making it the perfect home base for many visitors. We are just minutes from Shipshewana with 90 one-of-a-kind stores and the Midwest's largest flea market. Other highlights in Amish Country include a visit to Essenhaus Village in Middlebury with a 1,100-seat family-style dining room or a trip to the quaint Amish based community of Nappanee.

With Goshen's central location we are the home to the Elkhart County Fair Grounds. During the third and fourth weeks of July Goshen comes alive with the Elkhart County 4-H Fair, which is the third largest county fair in the United States, drawing nearly 250,000 attendees in nine days. Aside from celebrating the county's agricultural base, it also has many other attractions and nightly concerts headlined by top recording artists.

Shopping in Goshen provides a variety of selections. Goshen's historic downtown is centered around a Greek Revival 19th century courthouse.
