Situated along Stone Lake, Fishtrap Lake, and Pine Lake, the City of La Porte is set against a tranquil backdrop of serenity in LaPorte County, Indiana, of which it is the county seat. La Porte is 30 miles north of South Bend, Indiana and 68 miles southeast of Chicago. The city has an estimated population of approximately 22,000 people.
