One of the fastest growing communities in the “Hoosier State” of Indiana, the City of Plymouth has an established reputation as being a great place to live offering the highest quality of living. With its emerging light industries, excellent public schools, an progressive municipal governance, Plymouth has long been a safe haven for individuals of all sizes, ages, and ethnicities. In fact, results from a recently concluded three-year survey performed by regional college students in Michigan and Indiana showed that Plymouth is the second most desirable location to live and raise a family. Plymouth trailed only after Nappanee-Wakarusa, Indiana in the survey.

Of course everybody knows that Indiana is a hotbed of hoops (basketball) activity. Indiana citizens live, sleep, and breath basketball, and the state’s legendary passion for the game has been captured in the successful Hollywood movie, “Hoosiers”, starring Gene Hackman as the head coach that led an unknown school to the state championship. Here in Plymouth, an equally impressive basketball legend exists starring one of Plymouth’s most famous sons – Scott Skiles. In 1982, Skiles led his underdog Plymouth High School to the State Championship against perennial powerhouse Gary Roosevelt in what many consider the greatest high school championship game ever - a 75-74 overtime victory.

Skiles would go on to make his hometown proud as an NBA pro who owns the record for most assists in a game.
