Princeton, Indiana

Princeton is in Gibson County which is located in South-western Indiana between Evansville and Vincennes. It is bounded on the west by the Wabash River and on the north by the White River. These features have created the exceptionally fertile farm ground that characterizes the county and the beautiful rolling landscapes that are the pride of the Midwest. Gibson County and the Princeton area have received national attention due to the influx of business to the area. Toyota has located a truck manufacturing facility in the Princeton area and served as a lure to related businesses into the booming marketplace.

Princeton is known for its beautiful downtown as well as its many parks. Lafayette Park/Princeton Municipal Pool is located on Spruce Street, the park has sheltered and open picnic facilities, a fishing pond, playground equipment, tennis courts and an outdoor basketball court. The pool is open Memorial Day into August. Season tickets and swimming lessons are available. The pool is home to the Princeton Swim Club, which competes against area swim teams. Then there's Southside Park, located on Stout Street, the park has two softball diamonds used for men's league, playground equipment, and outdoor basketball court and tennis courts. Shelter houses are also available. And finally, Lincoln Park: Located on East Brumfield Avenue, the park offers playground equipment and an outdoor basketball courts.
