The surrounding area around Belle Chase is truly an outdoor sportsman’s paradise. Besides some of the best freshwater and seawater fishing found in the nation, the area is home to a rich assortments of bayous, woodlands, and marshes that provides excellent camping, hiking, and hunting opportunities. Plaquemines Parish also maintains about 572 acres dedicated to outdoor recreational facilities, so there is no excuse not to be active!
