Real Estate LaPlace - LA
LaPlace Real Estate Information

Laplace is named after a famous French mathematician who invented an important theoretical construct known as the Laplace transform. The transform is used to solve a variety of important mathematical problems, but most notably those ordinary differential equations that arise when analyzing basic circuits with inductors, resistors, and capacitors. It's a true time saver!

The city proper is located on the road from New Orleans to Baton Rogue. As of the last census in 2000, the population of Laplace was 27,684. Like most of Louisiana, the population is a diverse mix with heavy French origins and African-American influence. As such, unique music has come out of this region, and LaPlace was even the birthplace of early jazz musicians Kid Ory and Wellman Braud.

New Orleans is just 30 minutes away, with Baton Rogue being about an hour away. If you run out of things to do in Laplace, it's just a 30 minute drive to the most vibrant French-African-American cultural mix the country has to offer! We're talking fine dining, great music, and awesome parties.

On the education front, nearby New Orleans has no less than six universities enrolling some 40,000 students!
