The Frog Capital of the World and The Louisiana City of Murals welcomes every traveler with warm hospitality, from the restless R.V. owner who wants to see America first to the foreigner who wants a dash of Old World elan in his or her travels.

Rayne is home to one of Ripley's oddities, a state-of-the-art R.V. Park, mesmerizing murals, Cajun cuisine, an antique mall with fabulous treasures at reasonable prices, local festivals (including the annual Frog Festival), and an old-fashioned five-and-dime where a nickel might not buy much today, but what is in store will whisk you away to another world ... the world of Rayne, Louisiana.

Rayne goes back to the 1800's when the railroad came to town. We were first called Pouppeville, but changed our name to honor the engineer who laid the tracks--Rayne. Today, folks know us for the frogs, but it all started when a trio of Parisians, Jacques Weill and his brothers, began a profitable export business, shipping our hoppy residents to restaurants across the country.
