Mansfield Center Real Estate Information The Village of Mansfield Center is found in the southeastern region of the “Bay State” of Massachusetts. Part of historic Bristol County, Mansfield Center is not to be confused with the Town of Mansfield, which is also found in Bristol County, but is about 6 miles south of Mansfield Center along the I-95.
Home to a long and rich history and heritage, both Mansfield Center and Mansfield were named after Lord Mansfield, a legendary British judge and politician. The area was settled as early as the early 1700s as grist mill, iron forge, cotton mills, and foundries were constructed here. It wasn’t until the construction of the railways and then later major highways that the commercial fortunes of Mansfield Center and surrounding area took of. Today business is booming here with many of Mansfield Center’s residents finding a wide array of business and job opportunities at the Mansfield-Foxborough Industrial Park.
For recreational activities, the Village of Mansfield Center maintains a number of attractive public spaces complete with baseball, softball, basketball, tennis, and soccer facilities. The community is also in close proximity to such popular outdoor attractions like Borderland State Park, Neponset Reservoir, and Gillette Stadium.
