Real Estate Randolph - MA
Randolph Real Estate Information

Randolph, Massachusetts, is just 15 miles south of Boston and part of the Greater Boston Metropolitan Area. At the junction of route 128 and route 24, Randolph enjoys a key location that allows it to thrive economically and socially.

Originally a settlement for farmers who also made shoes and boots in 1793 to augment their farming income. For various reasons, Randolph became a regional powerhouse in the shoe industry, attracting workers from New England, canada, and Ireland. Later, immigrants from other major shoe producing countries like Italy and Eastern Europe flocked to Randolph to take part in the thriving industry. By 1850, boots made in Randolph were being enjoyed as far away as California and even in Australia.

By the 20th century, the shoe industry was in decline and Randolph began its transformation into a suburban residential base for the Boston Area. Light manufacturing and service industries moved in along with many familes who wished to settle down and commute to their work in the metropolitan area.

Randolph is now one of the most culturally diverse cities on the South Shore with approximately 30,000 people. Businesses and residents have recently enjoyed massive tax rate cuts to help the town flourish.
