Since the 19th century, railroads have also played a big role in furthering Springfield's industrial success as printing, manufacturing, insurance, and finance industries moved in. As prosperity spread throughout the city, its education system was also strengthened.
There are some interesting things to do in this city. They recently received an NHL affiliate minor league team for the world-champion Tampa Bay Lightning. The city also hosts the Basketball Hall of Fame. Nestled away in the city is also the Dr. Seuss memorial.
