Bay Real Estate Information Situated on the Saginaw River leading out to Saginaw Bay at the juncture of two major freeways, the U.S. 10 and 1-75, the City of Bay City is the county seat of Bay County in the State of Michigan. The City is about 120 miles north of Detroit.
The economic center for the county, Bay City has a broad economic base supported by such well-known established companies like General Motors Corporation, Dow Corning Corporation, S. C. Johnson Inc., and DowBrands. A variety of famous local companies area also found.

The Center Avenue Historic District alone has over 250 structures on the National Historic Register. The city’s historic Downtown, was the winner of the Great American Main Street award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Highlights include the Antiques Center along the Riverfront.
