It's true and not only does this community have the advantage of having a great name, but the community of Buena Vista is also a great place to live in the Wolverine State.
Situated within Buenva Vista Charter Township in Saginaw County, Buena Vista is flanked by the city of Saginaw on its easy side and Interstate 75 on the westside. Home to approximately 8,000 residents, residents of Buenva Vista take great pride in the multicultural makeup of its population.
Located in one of the most exciting parts of Michigan, Buena Vista is within a ten mile radius of such fine Michigan communities as: Bridgeport, Saginaw, Carrollton, Zilwaukee, Robin Glen-Indiantown, Saginaw Township North, and Saginaw Township South. Its convenient location is just one of the reasons why more and more people are flocking to Buena Vista.
Additionally, Buena Vista enjoys a rich, vibrant local history. Buena Vista can trace back its origins to 1823 when Justin Smith first purchased land in the area that would become Buena Vista. Eventually Curist Emerson bought a disued mill located in the area in 1846 and built a settlement around it. Buena Vista obtains its name in honor of the recent victory of General Zachary over Santa Ana in the Mexican War.
