The city of East Jordan is located at the mouth of the Jordan River on the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix. When the village was incorporated in 1887 it absorbed the village of South Arm and then incorporated as a city in 1911.
With a solid industrial base and a growing tourist trade the city of East Jordan is sure to continue to grow along with the rest of Charlevoix county. Also of note is the large park and marina area at the mouth of the Jordan river within walking distance of the downtown area.
The annual Freedom festival at the park and other annual events make this a very strong community and one that is easy to call home.
