Southfield Michigan is the big city in Michigan that nobody has heard of. This is not a knock on the city itself; in fact in many ways it is praise. When you look at the skyline of this city of about 80,000 people you might think that it is a capital of some kind. It has many tall skyscrapers and a well maintained infrastructure.

This of course has everything to do with Southfield’s dedication to maintaining a new and vibrant economy. With one of the best public education systems in the state and seven universities this is a city that believes in investing in the future through education.

This investment has paid off for Southfield. Many of its graduates have gone on to do amazing things all over the state, and others have elected to stay in Southfield and work for one of the many large business that have set up shop here.

This great talent pool has then in turn attracted more jobs. It is a cycle that Southfield is very proud of and one that they have no desire to change. It also helps that Southfield is so close to Detroit that many business, not wanting to pay big city real estate prices, are willing to invest in this city that is only a short drive away from metro Detroit.
