Eden Prairie Real Estate Information Agriculture, Eden Prairie's link to the past, is still carried out here but on a much more limited basis and mostly along the Minnesota River and in a few fields in the southwestern portion of the city.
But Eden Prairie is also the home of corporate headquarters and prestigious neighborhoods. Today, with almost 19,000 households and about 50,000 residents, Eden Prairie is headed for the 21st century, when between 60,000 and 65,000 people are expected to live here.
This is a pretty fast rate of growth and one that is indicitive of the state in general.
In fact, when the NY Times traveled there several years ago, the writer was so enamored with the city that she dubbed it the true garden spot of the state. This is a tradition that people here feel very strongly about…although they’re not crazy about it either. There is a pride, but a quite pride, like any true lover of the land would endorse.
If you are looking to buy farmland, Eden Prairie is not the place. The farms that exist in this area have existed here for a long time and most of them are family owned farms that are as integral to the fabric of the community as the families themselves.
