Nestled in tje scenic River Valley in southern Minnesota is the exquisite City of New Ulm. New Ulm is located in Brown County, where it also serves as the county seat. New Ulm is just 90 miles southwest of the Twin Cities, and has a population of approximately 14,500 people.

The city was founded in 1854 by German immigrants, who built New Ulm into one of the most interesting and unique cities in the state. New Ulm was selected as a name because many of the original setttlers were from the province of Wurttemberg, Germany, of which Ulm is the principal city. New Ulm clings to its ethnic heritage and savors the German flavor given to it by its pioneer settlers earning the city the title as the City of Charm and Tradition.

New Ulm enjoys a diverse industrial base. Many commercial and industrial enterprises see New Ulm as a great location to set up shot thanks in part to its labour force. New Ulm's labor force is lengendary for its quality and work ethic. There are major corporations established here such as Kraft Foods, 3M Corp., Caterpillar Paving Co., and Associated Milk Producers.

New Ulm is proud of its extremely tight-knit community. All residents turn out for the many community events such as Heritagefest, which is rated number four in the Minnesota Department of Tourism's list of the top 25 community festivals in the state.
