Situated in soutern Mississippi along Interstate Hwy.55 where the majestic Piney Woods region meets the gently rolling Mississippi River lowlands, is the historic City of McComb. McComb is located in Pike County, about 80 miles south of Jackson. Founded in 1872 after Colonel Henry Simpson McComb, president of New Orleans, McComb has grown to its current population of approximately 13,000 people.

McComb and all of Pike County are growing economically. Traditionally an agricultural community, the city is starting to attract businesses to locate or re-locate here because of the many financial incentives and closeness to major interstate and railroad lines.

Despite its small size, McComb has a rich musical history. It is the birthplace of famous singers, Brandy Norwood and Britney Spears, the (former) teen pop sensation. Tragically, McComb was also the site of a planecrash to killed the lead singer and guitarist of legendary rock band, Lynard Skynard.

You won't find a nicer place to live than McComb. Three years in a row, McComb was selected as The Hospitality City of The Hospitality State. The citizens of McComb are a friendly people and civic minded. It is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
