The communities of Incline Village and Crystal Bay is located along the northern shores of Lake Tahoe in Nevada’s Washoe County. Incline Village was named for the area’s original name, “Incline”, since the area was steep slope used to transport lumber from the forests of Lake Tahoe to nearby mines in Carson City. Crystal Bay, which is just a couple of miles west of Incline Village along the California state line, was aptly named to describe Lake Tahoe’s crystal-clear waters.
