Real Estate Audubon - NJ
Audubon Real Estate Information

Located in southwestern New Jersey in lively Camden County, the community of Audubon is one of many boroughs located on the east side of the Delaware River across the “City of Brotherly Love”, Philadelphia. Home to a population of approximately 9,800 people, the residents of Audubon have easy access to the Jersey Shore and Philadelphia with the efficient and reliable high-speed rail transit service. This transit is the popular route of travel for the commuters of Audubon to the many business and job opportunities found in Philadelphia.

Audubon has a unique history being created as a Walsh Act borough. The act allowed municipalities to adopt a non-partisan commission form of government. The community is named after John James Audubon, one of America’s leading naturalist and a bird expert and illustrator. He is also honored by having the first and leading naturalist club named for him - the Audubon Society.

The community of Audubon continues the rich legacy left by the man whose name it embraces. Though Camden County is a densely populated area, there are still small pockets of pristine environment for the area’s people to enjoy. These include City Park, Newton Creek, Peter Creek, Camden County Park, and Knight’s Park.

With more and more people wanting to leave the hustle and bustle of Philadelphia, Camden County has become a popular destination for its attractive residential areas that are quiet and safe.
