Boonton, New Jersey

Covering a geographic area of 2.45 square miles, the Town of Boonton is located in the northwest part of Morris County, about 22 miles west of the George Washington Bridge and 7 miles north of Morristown.

Boonton is an old established community with an abundance of park lands, older homes, and convenient access to all parts of the Tri-State Metropolitan area. Boonton is located about 2 miles north of U.S. Route 46 and Interstate Route 80, and Interstate Route 287 runs through the center of the Town.

Transportation to New York City and other points in the Tri-State Metropolitan area is available via express and local commuter rail (NJ Transit), and by bus service (Lakeland Bus). While many residents commute to work in Newark and New York City, many work in the surrounding areas of Morris County.
