When people think of New Jersey, they think of the dense concentrations of people and industry in the eastern corridor across the Hudson River from New York City. Located in Passaic County, the Borough of Wanaque is just of Interstate Highway 287 in the Highlands Region of New Jersey. Set amidst a veritable outdoor paradise, the community of Wanaque is bordered by Ringwood Manor State Park to the east, Pompton Lakes to the south, and the massive Wanaque Reservoir to the north and west.

Although Wanaque gives the impression that it is in a remote part of the country, nothing could be further from the truth. After all one of the world’s largest metropolis (New York City) is only 30 miles away southeast, as is such busy cities like Paterson, Yonkers, Jersey City, and Hackensack. This makes Wanaque a perfect bedroom commuter community – go to work in one of the busiest areas of the world then punch out and come home to the peaceful and secluded haven of a home in Wanaque!
