In the Empire State, there is New York City and everywhere else. Home to approximately 13,000 residents, the village of Babylon has one of the most unique and colorful local histories of any place in the Empire State. Originially known as Huntington South, the name of the village soon changed to Babylon due to its infamous summer parties.

Officially known as the Incorporated Village of Babylon and a part of the larger town of Babylon, the village of Babylon enjoys a stellar reputation among New Yorkers. It is best known for its excellent restaurants and is a great place to visit during Christmas when the town hosts a wonderful walk through the village.

Additionally, the village of Babylon is known for being the home of influential New York city planner and political maven, Robert Moses. Whether you view Moses as a monster or a visionary, the village of Babylon is very proud of this complex figure.
