Katonah New York is probably not one of the communities that automatically jumps out in your mind when you think of cities in the great state of New York. Well that’s just fine, there is no real reason it should. Katonah is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The community is located in a part of the state, that while it has great opportunities for wilderness adventure, it doesn’t really have many of the urban amenities that you might want.

But, if you are one of those rustic people who enjoy the bucolic tranquility of nature, this place is a great fit for you. You can pretty much indulge in any of the great outdoor activities that you might like. First of all the fishing here is very good. In fact people come from as far away as Canada to try the fishing, and this is no small feat considering how much great fishing our neighbors to the north have.

Another really good thing about living in a community like Katonah is that the prices here are very low. You can find a very good home here for a mere fraction of the price of the same community in upstate or in any of the larger cities that are located near by. And even the everyday cost of living is much cheaper…goods just cost less here and you will notice that your money will go a lot further here than it will in most other places in the United States.
