The town of Minerva, if it can even be classified as a town, lies in New York state and has a population of just over 300 residents. This rural community, in Essex County, is more of a tourist and holiday town than a thriving area of its own; that doesn’t mean to say that Minerva, New York doesn’t have much going for it. It has lots and lots going for it in fact!

Located in the blissfully romantic and spectacular Adirondack Mountain range, Minerva, New York finds itself in one of the United States’s premier skiing areas, attracting numerous professionals, as well as first time, cross-country and downhill skiers. Not just a ski resort, the Adirondack Forest Preserve also has numerous hiking trails, camping areas, lakes with fishing and boating facilities and also horseback riding, for those with equestrian blood.

Self contained, Minerva, New York is very rural and as such offers a distinct property market. Rustic cottages are the main attractions, although there are other, more residential, properties.

Although located out in the Adirondack Mountain range, Minerva, New York is only a short 70 mile drive to, or from, Albany making it the perfect weekend getaway retreat or a worthwhile commute, for those with an adventurous heart.
