Mount Sinai Real Estate Information

When it comes to living in New York, it's always tempting to want to move to New York City. After all, the Big Apple is known as the city that never sleeps for a reason. An international hub for cultural, social, and economic activity, New York City is a place of frenzied activity. However, the Empire State is so much more than New York City. While neighboring New Jersey may be known as the state full of America's most liveable cities, New York is full of enaging small communities that offer its residents a high quality of life.

You don't need to look much further than Mount Sinai to see the best of small town New York. Home to approximately 9,000 residents, Mount Sinai is a small place with a big history. Located in the suburban enclave of Suffolk County in gorgeous Long Island, Mount Sinai can trace its local history back to 1664 when colonial settlers purchased the land deed of what would become Mount Sinai from the Native American tribe, the Setauket.

A major farming and shipping center, contemporary Mount Sinai can trace back its origins to the 1960s. It was during this decade that Mount Sinai underwent a suburbanization process. Farm land was converted for new homes construction, as people flocked to Mount Sinai for its peaceful, quiet, rural atmosphere.

With an abundance of marine recreation and gorgeous natural geography everywhere, Mount Sinai will always be a popular place to live in the Empire State.
