Mount Vernon, New York

Developed in the mid-1800s Mount Vernon was supposed to serve as a refuge for businesses and commuters wanting to escape the New York City cost of living. From its beginning, this was a planned community, formed from high hopes and it fulfilled these hopes wonderfully through becoming one of the safest, friendly communities in the area. The first residents were hard-working people who came up from neighboring New York City seeking a refined and more serene way of life away from the disorderly subsistence of city living.

The city of Mount Vernon has evolved from a spirited isolated experiment involving participants from basically similar backgrounds to a cosmopolitan reality. Mount Vernon is now a diverse, beautiful community with representatives from over 98 different nations living in close proximity to his neighbor and helping one another.

The Mount Vernon is also famous for its famous ex-residents such as the talented Denzel Washington or P.Diddy, whose enormous talents and drive both reflect so well a wonderful upbringing in a community that obviously fosters talent and ambition.
