Lying in the Metropolitan area of New York, Nassau County is home to a population of over 1.3 million people, ten percent of whom are Hispanic. Bordering Queens in New York City, Nassau County, is one of the two counties that make up beautiful Long Island. Amassing a land base of over 287 square miles, Nassau County is a gateway to the Maritimes; it makes good use of this fact.

Named after Prince William of Nassau, the Prince of Orange, Nassau County has many attractions, drawing both tourists and residents alike. From Adventure land to the Long Island Fair, there is plenty of fun to be had here. Should you run out of things to do however, the City of New York is just a short drive away, offering endless activities, restaurants, shopping and work for those who choose to commute to the big apple but live in the sanctuary of Nassau County.

Parks are scattered throughout the county and each has something special to offer. From skiing in Valley Stream state park; fishing in Jones Beach state park and hiking in Bethpage Park, there is more to do in Nassau County than in some states. With the coast providing boating opportunities you’ll never get bored in this part of Long Island.

NYC provides much of the employment, but there jobs around Nassau County should you not wish to work there. With excellent schools, recreational facilities and amenities it is easy to see why this part of the country has seen tremendous growth in recent years.
