Rye, New York

Rye is a lovely, little city located in Westchester County, New York. As of the 2000 census, Rye had a total population of 14,955. Rye houses the original home site and burial place of John Jay, a Founding Father and the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Original milestones, fixed by Benjamin Franklin along the Post Road in 1763, still mark the 24th, 25th, and 26th miles from New York City.

Although small, Rye has all the ammenities that a city should have: schools, good health care system and lots of employment opportunities. People who live here are friendly and value deeply their community-oriented neighbors.
